Rosie Johnson is a space artist on a mission to prove that creativity and individuality belong in the space industry. Through creative storytelling and self-expression, she aims to inspire others to take up space—both literally and figuratively.

 

Rosie's journey into the space community started in 2015, hosting nightly star parties at Tucson’s Sky Bar, the world’s first solar-powered astronomy bar. This experience re-ignited her passion for astronomy and space outreach. In 2020, she took a giant leap and transitioned from a 14-year career as a fashion photographer to pursue her dream of working in the space industry. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Digital Art and a proven record in creative strategy, her main focus is now in space media.

Rosie is also the Founder and Designer of PlanetExophilia, a space inspired fashion brand created to help humans embrace their inner cosmic alien with bold statement pieces and far out looks.

As Founder of Her Cosmic Orbit, Rosie has created an inclusive network for women in STEM, LGBTQ+, and non-binary space enthusiasts who share a passion for exploration and adventure. Her Cosmic Orbit fosters connection, collaboration, and empowerment through shared experiences at space events, space-themed destinations, and meet ups. Dedicated to amplifying underrepresented voices in STEM, Rosie is building a safe and supportive community where wanderlust meets connection and exploration inspires empowerment.
